AGADIR MOROCCO

Agadir is a popular destination for those seeking the sun in the winter! With its beautiful sandy beach, 300 sunny days per year and its large park hotel (one-fourth of the hotel capacity in Morocco, 20 000 beds sorted!), this city is the seaside resort of Morocco.
Capital of the Souss, the land chosen marabouts and cradle of the formidable warrior dynasty Saadi, Agadir begins to decline since 1760: Sultan Mohammed ben Abdallah, wanting to punish unruly Agadir, decided to close its port to the European traffic and founded the competing port of Essaouira.

Today, Agadir is a modern city, tourism, ideal base for excursions in the South. The commercial and maritime activity Agadir (1 fishing port in the country) is also thriving and confirms its role as regional capital
Agadir is primarily a holiday destination. One can only appreciate its sunshine and its temperature relatively constant. Sports city, Agadir also offers many water activities or land (golf, tennis ...).
This city is an ideal base for visiting southern Morocco!
